• Operation of Thermoforming and CNC router machines
• Various bonding and hardware attaching of plastic parts
• Processing plastic parts at a rate and quality specification
• Inspection of plastic parts, dimensionally and cosmetically to deal with problems immediately

• Minimum (3) years production/assembly experience with machine operations, hand tools, and/or assembling components

Quality Assurance Inspector

Job Description:
On a day to day basis, this Quality Assurance Inspector will inspect various types of thermoformed plastic parts utilizing a FARO arm for conformance to CAD models, form tools used to thermoform plastic parts and fixtures used for automatic routing of parts.  This person will also be responsible for completion of appropriate inspection documentation reflecting acceptance or rejection of tools, fixtures and parts.  This person will also complete First Article Inspection reports.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering preferred
• Have ability to complete AS9102 first articles
• Have ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including characteristics, GD&T symbols, specifications and process requirements
• Must have a knowledge of measurement instruments
• Must understand mathematics and geometry
• Have good organizational skills; accurate data collection, storage and retrieval
• Have a clear understanding of plastic material identification, control and traceability
• Have an ability to select and use proper inspection tools
• Ability to identify, define and describe non-conformances or defects
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing factory environment
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Must be computer literate including Excel & Word processing
• Must have experience with FARO & CAM2Q & CMM
• Statistical analysis tools
• Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
